OUR TOUR

We'll pick you up at your downtown accommodation or at the gate where you alight from your cruise and whisk you off to Cape Spear National Historic Site. There we'll see Newfoundland's first lighthouse and, for a moment, be the most easterly people in North America.

Then it's off to the traditional fishing village of Petty Harbour, where we'll learn about the significance of the inshore fishery and, season dependent, have a chat with the fishermen as they bring in the catch.

After talking about fish, we'll go eat some! Off we'll go to St. Philip's, overlooking Conception Bay and Bell Island, where we'll treat you to a lunch of the freshest cod fish on The Avalon Peninsula.

After lunch, it's off to Portugal Cove, Newfoundland's earliest fishing settlement, dating back to about 1500. Next, we return to town for a swing through quaint and historic Quidi Vidi Village and, finally, St. John's crowning glory, Signal Hill National Historic Site.

After this 4-4.5 hour trip, we'll return you, happy and well fed, right back to where we found you.

"An absolute MUST, George is an amazing guide and human being."

CHEERS FOR GEORGE'S TOURS:)

THE tour to do!

Loved our rich learning, stories and Newfie experiences with George! If you do any tour, be sure that it is his. He flexes this tour into what you need from it. He is a wealth of Newfie information and fun with an incredible perspective to share! I am from Winnipeg and I've

brought my son who is attending Memorial University here and I feel that George has imparted upon him a solid foundation of understanding about the fabric of this beautiful province and the heart of its lovely folk. In the photo below, you'll see George and my son interacting with 2 Quidi Vidi fisherman who literally offered us a bag of freshly cut and filleted cod! This experience was one we'll never forget and it demonstrated to us the true beauty of relations and communication that is alive on this island. Thanks so much, George!
